This operation was carried out because the hawkers had violated the conditions of the license that had been set and ignored the notice and compound that had been given.

Claims for confiscated items can be made at the Level 1B Enforcement Office of the UTC Building.

The Miri City Council calls for hawkers to comply with the conditions stipulated in the hawker's license including not placing items for sale in the parking lot and on the sidewalk and obtaining a license before conducting business or hawking activities to maintain the cleanliness and image of Miri City.
