Assessment Rates Purpose
At Miri City Council, Assessment Rates is levied for the following purposes:-
l) PUBLIC PURPOSE
To finance the construction and maintenance of public facilities such as public halls, bus stops, recreational parks, markets, playgrounds, public toilets.
II) ROAD MAINTENANCE
To maintain and construct infrastructure such as roads, drains, street lights, traffic lights.
III) SCAVENGING
To pay for the management of domestic waste collection from premises to premises
IV) STREET LIGHTS
To pay for the bills and maintenance of street lightsV) SEWERAGE DESLUDGING
Payment for sewage disposal management by staged and scheduled at the premises
