What is Rating and Valuation?Rating and Valuation is the MCC department that assesses property values and manages local property taxes (assessment rates) within the Miri City Council area.
Why contact the Rating & Valuation department?Contact this department to enquire about your property's assessment rate, update valuation information, or check records related to your rateable property.
Who pays assessment rates?The property owner is responsible for paying assessment rates if their property is within the Miri City Council jurisdiction.
When can I pay my assessment rate?Assessment rates are paid twice a year — first half by 31 May and second half by 31 October. Late payment may incur a surcharge.

Who needs a dog licence?Any dog owner in Sarawak who wants to register their pet must use this system to submit information and process their licence.
Why do I need a dog licence?Dog licences are required by local authority laws to monitor and control dog populations, ensure rabies vaccination, and prevent public health risks. Failing to have a valid licence can result in legal fines.
What is the Sarawak Councils Portal?A one-stop online platform that brings together local authority services across Sarawak's district and city councils in a single digital space.
What services are on the portal?Licensing, permits, assessment enquiries, public health and other council-related services. Specific services appear once you log in.
What is Sarawak ID?A single digital identity used across Sarawak government digital services. Register once and use it to log into multiple government systems without separate accounts.
Can I access council services without login?Some public pages are viewable without logging in, but to submit applications or access personalised services you must log in or register first.

What is TALIKHIDMAT?A one-stop communication channel for the public to submit enquiries, complaints, feedback, or service requests to Sarawak Government agencies and local authorities.
Who can use TALIKHIDMAT?Any member of the public in Sarawak can use it to send feedback, complaints, suggestions, or service enquiries related to government services.
What feedback can I submit?You can report broken streetlights, potholes, flood problems, file complaints about public services, request information, or give suggestions. Reports are routed to the relevant agencies.

What is the eBooking Sarawak portal?The official online system to search, book, and reserve government-managed facilities, event venues, national parks, sports fields, and other public spaces throughout Sarawak.
Who can use eBooking?Anyone in Sarawak or visitors who want to reserve public facilities and venues provided by the Sarawak State Government.
Does eBooking cover national parks?Yes. You can book national park accommodation and activities such as Bako National Park, Gunung Gading, Lambir Hills, Loagan Bunut, and others.
Is payment managed online?Yes. The portal supports online booking and payment for enabled facilities — no counter visit needed.
