What is Rating and Valuation?Rating and Valuation is the MCC department that assesses property values and manages local property taxes (assessment rates).
Why contact the Rating & Valuation department?Contact this department to enquire about your property's assessment rate, update valuation information, or check records.
Who pays assessment rates?The property owner is responsible for paying assessment rates if their property is within the Miri City Council jurisdiction.
When can I pay my assessment rate?Assessment rates are paid twice a year — first half by 31 May and second half by 31 October. Late payment may incur a surcharge.
