RM65,000 channeled to 24 community organizations through MRP funds in Miri

Member of the State Legislative Assembly (ADUN) for Pujut, who is also the Mayor of Miri City Council, Adam Yii Siew Sang, delivering his address during the presentation ceremony of the Minor Rural Project (MRP) grants in Miri yesterday.

MIRI: A total of RM65,000 has been distributed to 24 associations, schools, and welfare, cultural, and religious organizations here under the Minor Rural Project (MRP) allocation.

This initiative aims to strengthen the state government’s support for the development of local communities.

The presentation ceremony was held yesterday evening at the N.74 Pujut Service Centre and was officiated by the Mayor of Miri City Council, Adam Yii Siew Sang.

In his speech, Adam Yii said that the MRP allocation from the Sarawak government is intended to assist various organizations in carrying out activities that benefit their members and the community.

He also advised that the funds received be used prudently for the benefit of the community.

Among the recipients were the Hing Ann Miri Senior Citizen Association, the Miri Orang Ulu Women’s Association (PWOUM), Miri Division Ping Pong Association, Miri Chinese Association Women Section, Sarawak Fire and Rescue Sports and Welfare Association, SMK Pujut, SK St. Columba Parent-Teacher Association (PIBG), and the Dayak Children’s Association of Sarawak (GADS).
