The prestigious full-day event will be officiated by Sarawak Deputy Premier, who is also the Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, as the guest of honour.
Organised by Imasa Dinasti Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary under the TAK Group of Companies, the conference aims to open a strategic dialogue between policymakers, academics and industry players to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into the healthcare system.
TAK Group Chairman and chairperson of the organising committee, Teo Ah Khing, said the KSC Summit 2025 marks an important milestone in efforts to harness technology for societal well-being.
“This summit is a major achievement in our collective effort to elevate technology for public benefit.
“We are moving from theory to real-world applications that can transform patient care and medical outcomes, not only globally but also in Sarawak,” he said.
The programme will begin with the launch of a large-scale new initiative, followed by keynote addresses and panel discussions focusing on practical, ethical, and commercial aspects of AI use in medicine.
The event is expected to attract a wide range of participants, including healthcare professionals, data scientists, investors and government officials.
The summit also highlights Sarawak’s growing importance as a hub for technology and health dialogue, with confirmed attendees including prominent figures such as Sarawak Minister of Transport Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing, Consul General of China in Kuching Xing Weiping, Consul General of Indonesia in Kuching Dr Abdullah Zulkifli, Director of the Fudan University Integrative Medicine Institute Professor Dr Dong Jingcheng, Curtin University Malaysia Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Vincent Lee, Miri Hospital Director Dr Jack Wong, and Invest Sarawak Chief Executive Officer Timothy Ong.
