MIRI: The Baram Visionary Women's Club will be organising the 2025 Orang Ulu Golden Voice Stage (PSEOU) on December 13, as a platform to promote artistic talent and empower the creative industry among the Orang Ulu community.

Its chairman Mujan Lah said the event would be held at the Sarawak Orang Ulu Association of Malaysia (FORUM) Federal Building in Jalan Padang Kerbau, from 5.30pm to 11.30pm, with the arrival of the guest of honour expected at 7.45pm.

He said the prestigious competition was organised specifically for local singers or artists who have recorded songs in the Orang Ulu language, as an effort to elevate ethnic vocal art and to promote potential artists to a higher level.

"This organisation is part of the ongoing effort to empower the performing arts in Sarawak, especially in recognising local talents," he said in a statement today.

A total of 10 artists have qualified for the final stage and will compete for the title of PSEOU 2025 Champion.

In conjunction with the event, a Christmas Song Choir Competition and Christmas Bazaar were also held in the lobby of the FORUM Building on 10 and 14 December, starting from 10 am to 10 pm.

To liven up the atmosphere of the PSEOU highlight night, several local artists were also invited to perform special performances, namely Phoebe Chloe, Rosiana Urai and Jolly Jengan, as well as guest artist from West Kalimantan, Indonesia Agus Hingaan.
