Great British Circus to perform in Miri City from July 26 to Aug 25

KUCHING, June 26: The Great British Circus from the United Kingdom will be performing in Miri City from July 26 to Aug 25.

Miri City Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, who welcomed the international circus production by Big Kid Entertainment which has performed in more than 10 countries, said the city was honoured and thrilled to host this world-renowned circus.

Yii, who is also Pujut assemblyman highlighted that the circus is known for its extraordinary performances and talented artists who have captivated audiences across the globe.

“The arrival of The Great British Circus marks a special occasion for our community, a time for us to come together and celebrate the magic and thrill of the circus arts,” he said at a press conference after the launching of the Great British Circus at Miri City Hall today, according to a press release.

Yii described The Great British Circus shows as common mainstays in many communities abroad, such as in England or Scotland, where families will spend a fun day out once every year or whenever the show arrives in town.

“As it is a high-quality family-oriented show we hope that many smiles, laughter, and good memories will be enjoyed by Mirians at this circus.

“We hope to share this joy with visitors and tourists to our city as we continue to grow Miri’s appeal as a tourism destination, which has many other high-quality attractions that one can visit alongside the Great British Circus.”

He extended his gratitude to the organisers and everyone who has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to bring The Great British Circus to our town.

“Your efforts have ensured that we can all experience this unforgettable spectacle, ” he said.
